Online CPD for Science
- Enhancing Science teaching using ICT
Focusing on key issues from the key stage 3 National Strategy for Science, the aim of the programme is to ensure science teachers have the skills to use ICT creatively and appropriately. Participation in Online CPD for science will enhance learning and ensure individuals and the whole department is empowered to use ICT effectively throughout key stage 3 and beyond.

Building on the enormously successful Science Consortium training model, this new science programme illustrates through model lessons, tutorials and departmental activities how ICT can be used effectively and innovatively in the classroom. The programme makes use of a range of popular science and generic software, such as the highly acclaimed Multimedia Science School, a combination that will ensure highly engaging lessons for you and your students.

What does Online CPD offer?
Based around 28 core lessons the programme will encourage participants to select their lessons making informed choices based on needs; be critical and think about your classes and teaching situations then reflect on the learning outcomes of the lessons. The programme is designed to be flexible and cater for teachers with varying levels of ICT skill and confidence. If you are comfortable using ICT in your teaching Online CPD will provide an ideal environment to try out new approaches; and for the not so confident the more basic lessons will ease you into using ICT in the classroom.
